National Tree Day at Sydenham Park Keilor

Come and plant 1500 trees and shrubs to help create a nature link stretching from the Macedon ranges to inner Melbourne.
Our site at Sydenham Park is where Jacksons Creek meets Deep Creek and becomes the Maribyrnong River.
Planting in this beautiful valley will create a home and a safe travelling passage for native animals like the Eastern Grey Kangaroo, and the Wedged-tail Eagle.

Directions: Turn off the Calder Freeway at Kings Road towards the Keilor Public Golf Course. Follow the signage to the National Tree Day site in the Maribyrnong Valley behind the golf course.

Notes about the day for Volunteers:

Please remember to bring along your own gardening gloves, water bottle and wear a pair of sturdy shoes, long trousers and long sleeve top. A barbecue lunch will be provided free of charge by Brimbank City Council, cooked by the Rotary Club of Brimbank Central. Children under 16 years of age must be supervised by a responsible adult.

The following will be provided: Tools and equipment for planting, Watering cans / buckets, Drinking water, Snacks, Refreshments, BBQ
