National Tree Day at Sydenham Park in Keilor

FreeThis year Brimbank City Council is hosting National Tree Day at Sydenham Park in Keilor.
Come and help us continue restoring the spectacular Maribyrnong Valley.
This year our goal is to plant 1000 trees along this magnificent valley.
We aim to create habitat for native animals by planting indigenous trees, shrubs and climbers in the area.
Nearest Cross Street: Kings Road and Calder Freeway
Site Reference: Melway ref: 3 J9
Directions: Sydenham Park.
Directions: Turn off the Calder Freeway at Kings Road towards the Keilor Public Golf Course.
Follow the signage to the National Tree Day site in the Maribyrnong Valley behind the golf course.

Notes about the day for Volunteers:
Please bring your own gardening gloves and water bottle. This is an outside event so dress for the weather; warm clothes, sturdy footwear and wet weather gear. If you have your own planting tools (hand trowels etc) please bring them along.
“Bush Babies” will be onsite with a display of local native animals from 11am-2pm
A sausage sizzle cooked the Rotary Club of Brimbank Central will be provided for all participants.
The following will be provided: Tools and equipment for planting, Watering cans / buckets, Drinking water, BBQ
